The Dumbest Statement in 2007! ^O^

This really is something I should remember to conclude before the month of January, 2008 passes entirely - It was a field with many contenders but we do have a winner! ^.^

Via RWBD-J.F. Beck we get this remarkable statement from an Australian environmentalist: "The other thing is that space is not an infinite resource."

"..."

"...!"

Excuse me, Space is not infinite? o_O

And here I thought American Ecofreaks were a gang of ignorant Luddites! Compared to their Australian counterparts they at least have graduated 2nd grade and are therefore 2 grades more advanced. ^O^

The amusing thing? These are the people who don't want "Global Warming" to be questioned on the grounds of their "scientific" consensus and superior technical competence. Sorta shows what the "scientific" consensus of such people is worth, don't it? ^_~

The logical implication of this premise, when you think about it, is that anyone who supports Socialism is a participant in a very nasty little nutcult! ^_~

Something for Illinois to Ponder...

Say what you want about John "Silky Pony" Edwards at least he is right on one very important point - The Senate is not a part-time job. You can spend your time being a Senator or you can spend all your time running for the Presidency but you cannot do both and still be a conscientous person. The fact that Mr. Edwards saw this is to his credit. The fact that Mr. Obama, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Biden apparently still do not is certainly not to theirs.

Why should any of those three be entrusted with the duties of the Presidency when they are negligent of the duties they already have? o_O

More to the point, if these 3 Senators can wander off from their duties for months and years at a time without being missed then why should they not be replaced by people who would actually be missed? O_o

Just a thought! :P

Silky Pony With a Mohawk? O_O

Back in the 80s, when the Punk Rock movement was more-or-less at its peak, one of the cartoons that appeared in the Chicago Reader that caught the eyes of our gaming group was captioned "Poodle With a Mohawk!". The joke to us being that a poodle with a mohawk is still just a poodle. Probably the only Linda Barry cartoon I ever respected or liked.

The reason this comes to mind? Now we have word from Betsy's Page that John "Silky Pony" Edwards has apparently decided the only way his campaign can succeed is by running as someone who wallows in anger and belligerance for the sake of anger and belligerance and tries to talk up his childhood fights as a way of establishing how tough a President he would be. :P

Which brings up an interesting question, I wonder if his Mohawk cost more than $400? ^_~
